Thank you for the warning.

If you look closely at the picture in the link you provided, it appears as though the entire set is a hand-full of DVDs. It takes a package almost that big for just one season. At $49.99 something must be wrong. I suspect they are boot-leg shows in the lowest of DVD quality. Kind of like getting VHS tapes in the EP (6 hour) mode. If I were going to purchase DVDs of BL, Amazon.com has a great deal on seasons 1-4. I will think about it if ION stops showing BL.

I've always bought mine off ebay. Got season 1 for about $15, season 2 and 3 for $20, and season 4 for about $25

Seasons 1 and 4 were brand new. Season 2 and 3 were new, but opened and used, yet in amazing condition - You wouldn't be able to tell the difference. These were probably for of my best purchases on ebay to date. I guess I really lucked out.

Julie, I have Seasons I & II from the shelves of Best Buy for Matlock. Now there is good television. I remember an episode of Boston Legal where a reference was made to something Ben Matlock did (and pulled off) in court. In the first episode of the first season, there is a modest digital glitch. CDs and DVDs are not as perfect as we wish to think. Glad you got such a good deal. I was a lucky guy once when it comes to your Michigan. Spent a few days in Grand Rapids the week before Thanksgiving 2003. I was lucky as it wasn't any colder than I am use to in CA. Guess a big stack of DVDs and a Snuggie are a must have in the dead of winter.

I've watched some Matlock in my day, but I haven't seen it in awhile. Court shows like that and Perry Mason have had huge success in the past, mainly because they were good shows.

Michigan is known for its weird weather. Just on Friday, it reached 71 degrees, a record temperature in many, many years. But today, its 40 degrees and raining. Glad you lucked out on your trip to Grand Rapids
