Watch:
Medium, Mondays at 10pm, on NBC!
Big Bang Theory, Mondays at 8pm, on CBS!
The Mentalist, Tuesdays at 9pm, on CBS!
Old Christine, Wednesdays at 8pm, on CBS!
Hell's Kitchen, Thursdays at 9pm, on FOX!
I'm aware as to how petty this sounds, but I've always blamed ER (not Dead Zone, despite them both coming on the same day) for ousting Mama's Family. If ER is not working out, they should put the usual 8:00 show that did work.

I understand what you're saying. And, it really was ER that ousted both Mama and Drew Carey off the lineup. Both were doing well, but they bought ER for bundles of money, thinking it would be a certified hit, but it turned out to be a bomb, and now they're trying to cover it up with additional airings of Boston Legal.
Looking at their recent ratings, though, Boston Legal is helping out - they went up from 390,000 to 480,000 viewers. Even though its helping, the lineup of Mama/WTB?/Wonder Years a year earlier was doing more than double that combined. When will they learn that these dramas aren't working out? How can a network go on getting less than .5 million viewers?

They should team Mama's Family with Boston Legal, and experiment that for a while. That would draw back the old viewers, but keep the Boston Legal fans. I don't know if those two shows would go well at say, an 8:00 (Mama) and 9:00 (Boston), but it would be worth a try.

I think ION really needs to put Mama back at 8pm - their ratings are terrible, week after week. Mama can easily pull in 1 million viewers, and probably more when it premieres again since fans are dying to watch it again.
With ER tumbling in the ratings, they could make a few schedule changes to primetime, with possibly a new show coming on. It should be Mama at 8pm, Boston Legal at 9pm, and NCIS at 10pm. That would seem more reasonable to do.

I've actually been somewhat liking this show on ION. I didn't at first - it was way too current for me to be on ION, but at this point its the only show I watch when nothing else is on.

I never watched this show, or any other shows for that matter, when the scheduling changed. At first it was because of protest for QL and Mama's Family being taken off, but now I just don't have the time for it. I've seen two episodes of Boston Legal, and the show it can be entertaining. More airings is probably a smart move.

I know what you mean - at first I was disappointed with the schedule changes, and for the most part, I still am. Especially with ER - I'm glad that was a disaster. And I really don't like NCIS, but at this point, its doing the best for them. Ghost Whisperer and Criminal Minds are coming to ION next year, so I think a chance for more classics is going to be a far reach in primetime.
Boston Legal can be a good show, especially when you have nothing else to watch. I'm glad its doing well for them.
